Finding Your Way - Axtualised Blog - Kim Farrente

We are a society filled with distractions. Office deadlines, expectations, and the illusion of social media that we must be in constant motion for others, is how we see “success”. Even when we are not at the mercy of deadlines, dinners, and daily responsibilities, we are often consumed by liking, swiping, and commenting. Our society does not power off.

Loneliness can occur in the presence of others. It is not always a symptom of sadness or depression. In fact, being alone might provide a meaningful place for growth.

It is in these distractions that can make us feel detached or disconnected from ourselves and others leaving us to feel spiritually insolvent. The expectations of our current culture are misaligned with spiritual fulfillment. So how can we create union with ourselves when we often feel empty or disengaged?

RACEE: Recognize, Accept, Connect, Engage, and Evolve:

• Recognize the experience of loneliness or disconnection. Name it and nurture it.

• Accept that this is a normal part of human and spiritual growth. Do not judge yourself for your current life situation. You are where you need to be in the moment for self-discovery. You can choose to course correct.

• Connect with your higher self. Depending on your personal preference, you can draw, write, go for a walk, take a salt bath, meditate, or any activity which promotes an experiential awareness where you join the physical and spiritual parts of yourself. It’s in the disconnect where we learn to feel whole

• Engage yourself-Ask yourself questions about what might be going on with your thoughts, feelings, and your current situation. Is your internal dialogue fueling this experience? Inquire about the sensations you feel in your physical body and observe the response without judgment.

• Evolve from this. Embrace the changes with love and know that energy shifts constantly. Thoughts, sensations, experiences, etc., are in constant motion; honor them in that moment and release. We live in a dynamic universe, and the Universal Law of Impermanence holds that nothing remains the same.

Find the space within where you can connect to your inner wisdom and be an experiential observer. Stepping in and standing in your place of power is truly fulfilling. You will never be lonely, for you are anchored in true consciousness.
